# Settings

The five settings tabs and what lives in each — profile, appearance, teams, members and company.

Settings is at `g`  then `s` , or from the sidebar. It has five tabs, each with its own URL — `/settings/teams` links directly, which is useful when you are telling a colleague where something is.

## Profile

Your name and role, plus a drafting-key card. A separate personal-token card is in progress:

**Drafting key.** Your own Anthropic API key for BYO [Intent](https://docs.orneos.com/docs/intent) drafting. BYO mode needs this key. A separate funded path may be available when Orneos credit is configured, consented to and granted. Manual authoring remains available. **Personal access tokens — work in progress.** The separate implementation adds credentials for agents and scripts, scoped and optionally expiring; this card is not in the app version documented here. The secret is shown exactly once, at creation. See [Personal access tokens](https://docs.orneos.com/docs/personal-tokens).

Both credentials are **yours**, not the team's, and removing you from the company does not hand them to anyone. The app binds drafting-key use to its owner/session, but a remembered key remains raw browser storage; see the [credential-storage limits](https://docs.orneos.com/docs/ai-keys).

## Appearance

Light or dark mode, and a theme. See [Themes and appearance](https://docs.orneos.com/docs/themes).

Your choice is stored in your browser, not on your account — so it does not follow you to another machine, and clearing site data resets it.

## Teams

The teams you belong to and their rosters. Company admins can create teams. Renaming a team, changing its key or administering its roster requires admin membership of that team; company-admin status alone does not grant those rights. Team admins configure board-column names, icons and colours from the column header controls on the Board itself.

Board column identity matters more than it looks: the columns are what issue status maps to, so renaming them is a display change while replacing a column can affect how issues map to it. Reordering changes the board layout; it does not by itself redefine an issue’s status. See [Board, Backlog, Timeline](https://docs.orneos.com/docs/views).

## Members

Company membership administration, available to **company admins**: invite new people by email, manage company roles and remove people from the company. Team admins manage existing company members in their own team's roster under **Settings → Teams**. See [Members and roles](https://docs.orneos.com/docs/members-and-roles).

## Company

Company profile details, including the name and plan information. Renaming the company requires company-admin authority. Team management is under **Teams**; company-member removal is under **Members**.

Removing someone from the company is stronger than removing them from a team, and its effect on that person's browser is described in [Companies and teams](https://docs.orneos.com/docs/companies-and-teams).

## Favorites and navigation

Use the star beside a supported sidebar page, fixed issue-view tab or saved-view tab to add it to **Favorites**. Drag favorites in the sidebar to arrange them; use the star again to remove one. Favorites belong to your user within the active team, not to everyone in that team. They are saved to your account for that team and can be loaded on another signed-in client.

The **Hide custom saved views / Show custom saved views** toggle beside the fixed tabs collapses or expands your custom tabs without deleting their saved views. A hidden tab can still have a favorite.
